As a first step, always try to contact the owner to let them know, and to learn if the symptoms are potentially normal or sign of a pre-existing condition. If the owner is not available, get in touch with the alternative contact they have provided you.
Contact the dog's vet to ask for what to do. If it's outside of hours of operation, contact our dedicated VetLine (24/7) to get expert advice on what to do and directions to the nearest open vet (the number will be displayed in your dashboard during the booking).
If required, take the dog to the vet and get all the emergency care required. Make sure to take photos that can help the diagnosis.
Contact our Support Team as soon as possible (once the dog is stable) to let us know about the incident.
Keep all receipts and the vet's diagnosis to send to DogBuddy for reimbursement.
