Yes, in order to contact a sitter you will need to enter some basic information about your dog:
These four pieces of information are mandatory, but we strongly recommend that you fill out all the other details in your dog's profile before contacting a sitter (such as the dog's feeding habits, commands they know and their vet's contact information). This will help the sitter make an informed decision on whether they can look after your dog and their needs.
Describing the dog's character and any special habits is particularly important, as the sitter might have children or other animals in their house. It's also important to detail puppy habits or generic behavioural issues so sitters can understand if they're the right match for your dog.
Dog Liking: When you create your dog’s profile, you will be asked if you want the dog to be Visible to local sitters.
If you select yes, we will show your dog information to relevant sitters in your area and highlight if you currently need a specific service, based on your latest request and dates. Sitters can then choose to “like” your dog if they would love to take care of it, and you can find those sitters in your Sitter Wish List.
