Did you know that most insurance policies are not valid if your dog is staying with someone else?
All bookings confirmed on DogBuddy are covered by two types of insurance: veterinary and public liability insurance.
Veterinary Insurance covers any visits to the vet and prescribed medicine to your dog, which happen as a result of any illness or injury occurring during the booking, up to £2000. This way, you can rest assured that the sitter won't hesitate to take your dog to the vet if anything should go wrong, and that your dog is safe from harm even when you're not around.
Please note that vet insurance does not cover pre-existing conditions or follow-up visits.
Public Liability Insurance covers any damage that your dog might cause to third parties while in the care of a sitter. The insurance covers up to £1,700,000 for damages to third parties caused by the dog, for which the dog owner may be liable (with an excess of £50).
