When you sign up as a dog sitter you're given the option to select the services you're able to offer, the price you charge and the cancellation policy you want to apply to the 24h Dog Boarding service. Doggy Day Care and Dog Walking are set by default to Flexible.
There are three cancellation policies that you can choose from:
- Flexible: Full refund for the dog owner up to a day before service starts (11:59pm the day before the booking start date)
- Moderate: Full refund for the dog owner with five days notice, 50% refund thereafter (e.g. if the booking start date is Friday, the owner can cancel with a full refund up to 11:59pm the Saturday before)
- Strict: 50% refund for the dog owner within seven days notice, no refund thereafter (e.g. if the booking start date is Friday, the dog owner can cancel with a 50% refund up to 11:59pm the Thursday before)
You can always change your cancellation policy by accessing the Services & rates section of your account (this is a web only feature at the moment).
Cancellation penalty waiver
Sometimes, you may agree to waive the cancellation penalty with the owner, and for those special cases you can contact us to arrange a full or partial refund for the owner.
