At DogBuddy we pride ourselves on being able to provide dog owners with a means of contacting reliable dog lovers to care for their dogs. That's why we regularly conduct performance reviews on all the dog sitters registered on DogBuddy and temporarily hide from the search results those who are not active on the platform.
If you see that your listing is 'Inactive', it means we temporarily put your listing to sleep, until you decide it's the right time to make it active again.
But don't worry! You can easily tell us that you're interested in coming back by clicking on the "Activate" button on your listing.
Why has my listing been deactivated?
Our automatic quality assurance system takes into account various performance measures (which you can find in your own performance widget in the dashboard), but essentially the question it asks is: "Did owners that contacted this sitter have a great experience?"
Here are some of the reasons why the answer might be 'no':

How frustrating is it to not receive an answer to a request? At DogBuddy we believe that regardless whether the answer is a yes or a no, dog owners should always receive a response from the sitters that they have tried to contact.

We understand plans might change and life gets in the way of dog sitting. It's your responsibility to provide as much information as you can about your availability, the services that you can provide and type of dogs you can take care of. That way, you will mostly receive requests that perfectly match your requirements.

I am not using DogBuddy anymore
Sometimes, life gets in the way and you don't have time to open the app or you forget that your listing is active, and owners send you requests but you are nowhere to be found. So, if we don't see you in a long time, we will hide your listing to give the opportunity to other sitters that are active and available.
What can I do to reactivate my listing?
It's really easy! Just click on the link in our listing page, and you're live again!
